On 7 June, World Food Safety Day, FAO and WHO will host a hybrid high-level event where participants can learn how food safety standards contribute to saving lives. The event will expand on this year’s theme for World Food Safety Day, "Food standards save lives".
This high-level event is being held in the sidelines of the 76th World Health Assembly advances the Initiative on Climate Action and Nutrition, which officially launched at the 2022 Global Climate Conference (COP27).

This conference aims to make a substantial contribution to the UN Food Systems Summit’s follow-up process, in view of the first Stock-Taking Moment that is tentatively scheduled for June/July 2023 (TBC).
