The Food Systems Dashboard (FSD) is an online, interactive data portal that acts as a hub for open access food systems data led by a consortium comprised of GAIN and Johns Hopkins University. The FSD aims to provide high-quality, relevant, and action-oriented information to multiple audiences, including country governments and international organizations investing in or managing food systems programs. However, at present, the FSD does not contain indicators related to food safety, nor are food safety indicators well represented in other food and nutrition dashboards (e.g., the Global Nutrition Report or the World Bank's Health, Nutrition and Population Dashboard). To address the gap of food safety data within the FSD, EatSafe identified and assessed the availability and quality of indicators relevant to national food safety system functioning.
This report built upon prior EatSafe work that reviewed global food safety measures and indicators. |
