Given the importance and urgency of this United Nations Food Systems Pre-Summit and the Summit that will follow in September, GAIN is pleased to confirm that we will be actively contributing to the preSummit in various convening sessions as accepted by the UNFSS Secretariat. Likewise, we will be present through our Executive Director Lawrence Haddad in-person and through Act4Food Act4Change Youth Leader Coordinator Sophie Healy-Thow along with virtual participation from pertinent GAIN and youth members in all countries where we are operational. We are also happy to announce that seven members of the core group of Act4Food Act4Change are participating in-person in this venue.
In this regard, and more specifically, GAIN will be working on eight different parallel sessions listed hereunder. Given the significance of this preSummit and Summit, we will seize all opportunities possible to meaningfully engage with Member States and all the UNFSS stakeholders, including UN agencies, philanthropists, youth, civil society and the corporate sector to help advance making the necessary food systems transformation a reality.
