Dr. Amadeus Driando Ahnan-Winarno (Driando) is a food scientist, activist, entrepreneur, marathoner, and musician, who innovates especially on Indonesian foods and tempeh. Driando's life mission is to give more people access to nutritious, sustainable, and affordable sources of protein through promoting and innovating on tempeh. Driando co-founded the Indonesian Tempe Movement (in 2014) and Better Nature Ltd (in 2019), a UK-based plant-based food start-up aiming to help people live healthier lives through tempeh. 
 
Driando has received 33 international awards on his works, invented 4 patents, and written 5 texts on tempeh fermentation, including the most updated manuscript on tempeh i.e. a semicentennial review paper on tempeh so-called “The Tempeh Bible”. Driando has also delivered impactful talks such as TEDxJakarta, TEDxGreenWelfare, and G20 Global Food Security Summit 2022.
 
On the side, Driando runs marathons and has completed 4 out of the 6 World Major Marathons to promote tempeh. Driando also writes and produces his music, accessible via Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms.
