Private sector investment can be a powerful tool in improving the health of food environments and the diet quality of consumers. Yet, private sector resource flows remain largely untapped for developing market-based solutions that can address gaps in diet quality, particularly those of vulnerable populations. The key to unlocking these flows is developing a supportive environment of public and private policies that can create sustainable investments that strengthen nutrition outcomes.
On Thursday, 24 May 2018 the SUN Nutrition Hub will organize the multi stakeholder collaboration session: 'How can we strengthen the enabling environment for business to take action in improving nutrition?'
This session will focus on key challenges and opportunities of extending policy actions across the entire food system that can accelerate transformative private sector solutions that improve the availability and desirability of healthy diets.
Lawrence Haddad, GAIN’s Executive Director, will moderate the session.
