Vivian Hoffmann is a Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute and holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University. Much of her research has focused on household health behavior and farm-level technology adoption, with an emphasis on post-harvest practices and food safety. Hoffmann has led or co-led large-scale randomized controlled trials on farm-based food safety interventions in Kenya and Ghana and investigated the impacts of food safety labeling and independent information on consumers’ food choices in Kenya.
